This weekend begins our next few weeks of discernment on stewardship within our parish community. Unlike the Annual Catholic Appeal, we are looking at our own needs and how God is certainly calling us to help carry on in our worship, ministry and fraternity.
During this past year, we have been blessed with many great signs of life in our parishes. Perhaps the greatest has been in the growth of our community in both Holy Rosary and Saint Joseph. At one of our Masses, we regularly have 15+ kids, and that's just in the first three rows! At both parishes in all the Masses, there has been clear growth in attendance and new faces everywhere. Perhaps you've even met someone new!
Our churches have seen repairs and improvements over the last couple years. Leaks plugged, a basement painted, windows restored, among many others.
Of course, the height of our community is our gathering for prayer and worship. Funerals, weddings, baptisms - we've even had the Archbishop for our first Eucharistic procession in years!
God is certainly working in our community. How is he calling you to be part of the good things to come?
